"Students at four-year universities don’t realize for the first two years they're going to sit on the bench. At Rose, hands-on learning starts on day one."

Online Learning Support

Overview

Instructional Support & Online Learning supports and assists faculty who wish to enhance teaching methods through the use of technology. Instructional design personnel assist with a variety of projects, from multimedia presentations to the design and creation of web-based courses. In addition, this office supports the online learning platform which is presently Canvas

Internet Courses

Rose State College offers Internet courses in a wide variety of disciplines. These courses are designed with the same rigor as our on-campus classes but with flexibility of access that only the Internet allows. Many students choose to arrange their schedules so that they only come to campus two or three days per week and take other courses online.

Hybrid Courses

Hybrid classes combine on-campus meetings with online work to meet academic requirements. Check the footnotes of the section in which you enroll for more information regarding the dates of on campus class meetings.

Hybrid courses rely heavily upon the same online elements used in our Internet courses. We use Canvas as our online Integrated Learning Platform.

Canvas

The Canvas integrated learning platform allows participation in classes and online communities from both on and off campus through a regular web browser. Please visit the Canvas page for information about this system including login instructions.

Starlink

The College has access to over thirty (30) Starlink video titles in DVD format. All of these titles and others are available in streaming format on the Starlink website.
