In adherence to the Commission of Respiratory Care’s guidelines for consistent evaluation of competencies, Rose State College requires all clinical preceptors to complete inter-rater reliability training prior to performing student competency evaluations. Demonstrating inter-rater reliability involves having evaluators assess a competency performance. By using an evaluation instrument, the evaluators will then score the video performance. Training will measure and ensure consistent assessment among evaluators. A link to the course can be found below.
