Tinker Federal Credit Union Civic Leaders Scholarship

Thanks to an annual financial commitment from Tinker Federal Credit Union, Rose State College created the Tinker Federal Credit Union Civic Leaders Scholarship Program. This is the first Rose State College program focused on Tinker Air Force Base military spouses as well as the adult student population in Eastern Oklahoma County. The TFCU Civic Leaders Scholarship Program is an intense leadership development program that includes character training, communication skills, teamwork, and much more. Ten scholarships are available for the spouses of active duty military members (holding the rank E1 – E6) stationed at Tinker Air Force Base, and ten scholarships are available for non-military adults; age 24 and older.

You Can Help!

The RSC Foundation provides thousands of dollars each semester to students who qualify. We continually strive to raise funds and work with community partners to raise more money for the General Scholarship Fund. It is our ultimate goal to ensure that every student who wishes to attend college can do so without the fear of financial restraints.

If you would like to help the Rose State College Foundation provide scholarships to deserving students, click the link below to make a secure online donation. Please note that we will only accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Who can apply?
Any student planning to attend or currently attending Rose State College can apply. All scholarships require at least a 2.5 GPA to qualify.

What do I need to do?
The application process is easy and accessible online. Begin an application here. Please answer every question thoroughly. The final question is an essay and it is required for every applicant. Once the application is completed, the student will receive an email with further instructions.

Do I have to fill out an application for every scholarship?
No, unless you are a Health Science major. Although more than 50 scholarships are available, a student only needs to fill out one Foundation Scholarship Application during the month of March.

HEALTH SCIENCE MAJORS: A separate scholarship application for Health Science majors is available from May 16 - June 15 that will be used to award Health Science Scholarships.

How soon will I find out if I received a scholarship?
There is not a specified date for notification of acceptance. As soon as each committee makes their decisions, all students will be notified via mail. Typically this occurs within six to eight weeks of the scholarship closing date.

How are scholarships chosen?
A computerized matching process ensures that each applicant is reviewed for scholarships for which they qualify. A student may qualify for numerous scholarships. Various committees made up of faculty and staff review each application and choose recipients. A student can only receive one foundation scholarship per semester, but if more than one is awarded, the student will receive the award with the highest dollar amount.
